Dear Brothers and Sisters:

I'm writing to all of you about what can only be described as a bitter sweet announcement.  It's with both great happiness, as well as sorrow that I must announce the retirement of our Treasurer, Joe Hosking, due to some health issues he's experiencing.  Although it's sad to see him go, I'm happy that he will be able to begin to enjoy his retirement after so many years of hard work. 

Joe has serviced this Local as Shop Steward for the most part of 30 years and as Treasurer for almost 10.   After 37 years of service, Joe is finally throwing his hat into the retirement ring like so many other good members before him!

He started his career in 1972 as a 3rd Class Lineman, and progressed until Underground Line was formed in 1974 where he remains until his official retirement date in December. 

He plans to enjoy his retirement by continuing to work the family farm, spend time will his best friend and wife of 34 years, Nancy, their three children, as well as spend every day enjoying his five grandchildren.  He also plans to continue serving as Town Justice of Otisville and Mount Hope, as he has for the past 24 years.

Please join me in thanking Joe for all his hard work and dedication to Local 503 for so many years, and wishing him a fond farewell from all the members of this Local. 

Joe, we wish you all the best of luck, health and happiness in your retirement!  You'll be missed!
